The "Griffiths" family can trace their ancestors back to the ancient 
territories of Wales between the 11th and 12th centuries. They trace their 
ancestral roots back to Welsh origin, and first appeared in ancient medieval 
records in Chirk.  

Our ancestor Thomas Henry Griffiths, was the immigrant to North America who 
established the Griffiths family in Vermont in the mid 1800s.  The current 
Griffiths family is also descended from the Durkees, the Adams, the Putnams, 
and the Warrens.......

Many of these ancestors and their descendents played large roles in the 
development of our nation: from arriving on the Mayflower; to winning major 
battles in the Revolutionary War; to fighting and dying in the American Civil 
War; to becoming Presidents of the United States.

We have researched these relationships as carefully as possible, but it is 
conceivable that errors may be found.  After all,` it is a work in progress.
